Softball Recap: Friday's Win Is Eaglecrest's 13th in Last 16 Outings

Eaglecrest never got on the board in their matchup last Thursday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Denver North on Friday. They put the hurt on the Vikings with a sharp 17-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Raptors, who have now won 17 games by six runs or more so far this season.

Zaya Elliott made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Elliott was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with four RBI. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Eaglecrest got a massive performance out of Giana Vialpando Williams, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, two doubles, and one RBI. That's the most doubles Vialpando Williams has posted since back in September. Haisley Elliott was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one double, and one RBI.

Eaglecrest kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Denver North only managed one.

Eaglecrest has been performing well recently as they've won 13 of their last 16 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.9 runs on average over those games. As for Denver North, their defeat dropped their record down to 18-5.

As of now, neither Eaglecrest nor the Vikings have any future games scheduled.
