Softball Recap: Clopton Takes a Loss

Clopton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Louisiana Bulldogs, falling 17-3. If the Hawks were looking for revenge after losing 7-2 to the Bulldogs when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Calleigh Noah was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one run, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Lexi Enloe, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Clopton's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Louisiana, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clopton will face off against Silex at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Owls will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Hawks surely won't give up without a fight. As for Louisiana, they will square off against Elsberry at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
