Samantha Cordova of Edison (Huntington Beach, Calif.), a Utah commit, earned her spot on the Junior All-American Team with a 25-2 record.

Cooper, a junior, was a pitching and hitting machine at Dothan, earning Alabama Class 6A Player of the Year honors and All-Super State honors. She was among the national leaders in home runs with 19 and was also one of the state's best strikeout pitchers with 344 on the year.

Burroughs also had 19 home runs in leading C.B. Aycock to the North Carolina Class 3A state championship. The sophomore first baseman also batted .545 on the season.
Lorenz was the only freshman on the Southern Section All-Division I team after batting .553 with seven home runs.
Only a first team of 30 players is selected for the junior, sophomore and freshman classes.
