It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Buchanan had no problem doing just that on Friday. They blew past the Madera Coyotes 12-5. Considering the Bears have won nine games by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory (which was Buchanan's seventh in a row) raised their record to 20-10. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.9 runs over those games. As for Madera, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-13-1.

Looking ahead, Buchanan will head out on the road to challenge Liberty at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bears' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Patriots have averaged an impressive 7.4 runs per game this season. Madera does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
