Softball Recap: North Union Extends Winning Streak to Five

North Union proved they can win big on Saturday (they won by 12) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a run and slipped past the Pocahontas Indians 4-3. Winning may never get old, but the Warriors sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

North Union's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-5. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Pocahontas, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-6.

North Union has already played their next matchup, a 14-3 victory against Belmond-Klemme on the 28th. As for Pocahontas, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 4-1 win against Estherville Lincoln Central on the 28th.
