Basketball Game Preview: Greensburg Salem Golden Lions vs. West Mifflin Titans

The Greensburg Salem Golden Lions will venture away from home to face off against the West Mifflin Titans at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Greensburg Salem will be strutting in after a victory while West Mifflin will be coming in after a loss.

Greensburg Salem will head into Monday's matchup hoping to keep the good times rolling: they proved they can win big on Wednesday (they won by 33) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past Greater Latrobe 48-46.

Meanwhile, West Mifflin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were beaten by Indiana 60-28. While losing is never fun, the Titans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 410th, while the Little Indians are ranked 32nd).

Greensburg Salem is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 12-8 record this season. As for West Mifflin, their loss dropped their record down to 3-12.

Everything came up roses for Greensburg Salem against West Mifflin when the teams last played back in January, as the team secured a 56-28 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Greensburg Salem since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
