Soccer Recap: Montebello's Losing Streak Snapped at Seven Games

Montebello came into Tuesday's contest having lost seven straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. Their defense stepped up to hand the Schurr Spartans a 2-0 shutout on Tuesday. For the Oilers, this counts as revenge for the 1-0 victory the Spartans walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2024.

Montebello's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 3-8-3. As for Schurr, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-11.

Montebello will head out on the road to face off against San Gabriel at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Schurr has already played their next matchup (against Bell Gardens), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
