Even though Neumann Regional Academy has not done well against Northumberland Christian recently (they were 0-5 in their previous five matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way. Neumann Regional Academy was the clear victor by a 55-32 margin over Northumberland Christian. Neumann Regional Academy might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won three matches by 21 points or more this season.
Neumann Regional Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Shanniyah Tutler out in front who scored 21 points along with five steals and three blocks. Those three blocks set a new season-high mark for her. GiGi Parlante was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 19 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Montoursville's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their sixth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Hughesville, falling 53-25. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Montoursville in their matchups with Hughesville: they've now lost three in a row.
Neumann Regional Academy is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season. As for Montoursville, they bumped their record down to 1-6 with that loss, which was their third straight at home.
Neumann Regional Academy came up short against Montoursville in their previous matchup back in December of 2022, falling 53-47. Can Neumann Regional Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
