Baseball Recap: Horizon Christian Academy Drops Highest Score of Season Against Trinity Classical

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Horizon Christian Academy). They blew past Trinity Classical 18-1 on Monday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Warriors considering their two-run performance the matchup before.

Austin Jones was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jacob Lemoine, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base.

Horizon Christian Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .636. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in five consecutive contests.

Horizon Christian Academy now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Trinity Classical, they dropped their record down to 0-7 with the loss, which was their seventh straight on the road.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Horizon Christian Academy will venture away from home to challenge Peachtree Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Trinity Classical, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Lanier Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on April 1.
