Tustin had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They had just enough and edged out the Santa Ana Valley Falcons 2-1. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but Tustin were the better team in the second half.

Eva Zavala and Alexandra Carranza scored both of Tustin's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Tustin will square off against Santiago at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Santa Ana Valley, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Segerstrom at 5:30 p.m. on December 4.
