On Friday, Apostles Lutheran lost to Latino College Preparatory Academy at home by a decisive 26-10 margin. Apostles Lutheran has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
When it comes to explaining why Apostles Lutheran lost, one person who can't be blamed is Bella Calderon. Despite the final result, she scored no points along with 25 rebounds and six steals. Calderon is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season.
Apostles Lutheran's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Latino College Preparatory Academy, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Apostles Lutheran will challenge Averroes on Friday. As for Latino College Preparatory Academy, they will head out on the road to square off against University Prep Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
