Recap: Buena Bulldogs vs. Arroyo Grande Eagles
The Buena Bulldogs lost against the Arroyo Grande Eagles back in February of 2016, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Buena took a 46-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of Arroyo Grande. Buena has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, Buena saw an underclassman step up: Karisma Lewis scored 28 points along with seven rebounds. Lewis scored a full 71.8% of Buena's points, the seventh time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Skye Thomas, who scored five points along with seven rebounds.
Buena has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-3 record this season. As for Arroyo Grande, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-1.
Buena won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Clovis at 7:30 p.m. on December 8th. Arroyo Grande won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Ventura at 4:30 p.m. on December 8th. Ventura is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 65.5 points per game.
