Soccer Game Preview: Griffin vs. Harris County

The Griffin Bears will take on the Harris County Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Griffin will be strutting in after a victory while Harris County will be coming in after a loss.

If Harris County heads into halftime all tied up, they better play a good second half: that's when Griffin took over last week. Griffin sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over Central on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Griffin.

Angel Barojas was the driving force of Griffin's attack as he scored both of Griffin's goals, bringing his season total up to five goals.

Meanwhile, Harris County's game on Friday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of Shaw by a score of 3-2. That's two games in a row now that Harris County have lost by just one goal.

Harris County's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Griffin, their victory bumped their record up to 6-4.

Griffin came up short against Harris County in their previous matchup back in February of 2022, falling 4-2. Can Griffin avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
