Basketball Recap: Austin Takes a Loss

Austin lost against Cameron County back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Austin Panthers took a 44-29 bruising from the Cameron County Raiders. The Panthers just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Austin's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Cameron County, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-4.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Austin Panthers take on the Galeton Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Austin is facing Galeton at the right time seeing as Galeton is stuck on a 15-game losing streak. As for Cameron County, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against DuBois Central Catholic at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
