Red Bud hadn't done well against Triad recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Musketeers walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Knights. The Musketeers were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Knights, so the Musketeers were just returning the favor.

While Red Bud won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-18.

Norah Wagner paced Red Bud's offense, picking up five kills. Wagner really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with ten. She also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Maria Murry, racking up two apiece.

Red Bud has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.
