Softball Recap: Southern Boone Beats Silex for Their Fourth Straight Victory

Southern Boone put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 6-3 win over the Silex Owls.

Abby Smith spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on six hits.

On the hitting side, Abigail Haskamp was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Nova Porter, who earned two runs and three stolen bases.

Southern Boone's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Silex, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Southern Boone will take on Jackson at 2:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Silex, they will head out to square off against Oakville at 2:15 p.m. on Friday.
