Basketball Recap: Decatur Eisenhower Snaps Four-Game Streak of Losses at Home

After losing to Champaign Central the last time they met, Decatur Eisenhower decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Decatur Eisenhower Panthers narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Champaign Central Maroons 58-56.

Champaign Central's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Chris Bush, who went 7 of 10 en route to 20 points. Another player making a difference was Aidyn Beck, who went 5 of 6 on his way to 13 points.

Decatur Eisenhower's win ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 5-4. As for Champaign Central, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 5-4.

Decatur Eisenhower will venture away from home to challenge Triad at 10:00 a.m. on December 27th. Champaign Central has already played their next matchup, a 76-33 victory against Bloomington on the 20th.
