Central Christian has won nine straight games at home (dating back to last season), while Logan/Palco has won nine straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Friday. The Cougars will welcome Logan/Palco at 6:00 p.m. One thing working in Central Christian's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
Central Christian is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand Stafford a 54-0 shutout. Given the Cougars' advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas football rankings (they are ranked 14th, while the Trojans are ranked 74th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

It was another big night for Piercen Huff, who rushed for 123 yards and three TDs on only nine carries. He is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in three or more in each of the last three games he's played. Calvin Barnett was in the mix as well, providing Central Christian with two touchdowns.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Central Christian was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 248 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 167 rushing yards in seven consecutive matchups.
Central Christian didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. Barnett picked up that interception and then proceeded to rub salt in the wound by taking it back the other way for a touchdown. He got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Logan/Palco humbled Satanta with a 54-6 victory. Considering Logan/Palco has won six games by more than 21 points this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Central Christian better keep an eye on Case Ashmore. Carson Knipp was another key player, rushing for 67 yards and one touchdown.
On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Logan/Palco's defense and their five sacks. In that department, Bryson Bollig was the leader with four.
Central Christian's record now sits at 9-0. As for Logan/Palco, their record is now 7-2.
Friday's contest might be decided on the ground. Central Christian has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 177 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Logan/Palco struggles in that department as they've been averaging 256.5 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Everything came up roses for Central Christian against Logan/Palco in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, as the squad secured a 48-6 win. Do the Cougars have another victory up their sleeve, or will Logan/Palco turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
