Football Game Preview: Shaler Area Titans vs. North Hills Indians

Shaler Area is 0-10 against North Hills since August of 2016 but things could change on Friday. The Titans will head out on the road to square off against the Indians at 7:00 p.m. Shaler Area has given up an average of 38.3 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Shaler Area is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Central Catholic on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Titans were dealt a 69-7 defeat at the hands of the Vikings. While losing is never fun, the Titans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 275th, while the Vikings are ranked fourth).

Meanwhile, North Hills slipped by Plum 14-13 on Friday. The win continues a trend for the Indians in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now won three in a row.

North Hills' victory bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Shaler Area, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.

Shaler Area suffered a grim 34-10 defeat to North Hills in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Can the Titans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
