Basketball Recap: Signal Mountain Starts Season with Defeat at Home + How To Watch

Signal Mountain unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They were just a bucket shy of victory on Tuesday and fell 54-53 to the Silverdale Academy Seahawks. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Seahawks apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February.

Silverdale Academy can attribute much of their success to Judah Richardson, who posted 23 points. Another player making a difference was Luke Keith, who had 13 points.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Signal Mountain will square off against Chattanooga Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Silverdale Academy, they will venture away from home to face off against Christian Academy of Knoxville at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
