Soccer Recap: Johnson Comes Up Short

After some red-hot attacks on offense in their last three matches, Johnson finally came back down to earth on Thursday. They fell just short of the Valley Vikings by a score of 1-0. The game was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but the Warriors couldn't quite close it out.

Johnson dropped their record down to 2-7 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight at home. As for Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 5-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Johnson will take on West Campus at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. West Campus will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Johnson surely won't give up without a fight. As for Valley, they will square off against Florin at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Valley's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.
