Soccer Recap: Mission Viejo Takes a Loss

Mission Viejo's game on Saturday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of the Tesoro Titans by a score of 1-0. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Diablos came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 27th, while the Titans are ranked 278th).

Having lost for the first time this season, Mission Viejo fell to 6-1-3. As for Tesoro, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-6-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mission Viejo will square off against Beckman at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Tesoro, they will take on Dana Hills at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Tesoro's last four contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
