Soccer Recap: Christopher Takes a Loss

There was early excitement for Christopher after they claimed the first goal on Tuesday, however, they wouldn't score again. They fell 3-1 to the Evergreen Valley Cougars. Christopher was not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Evergreen Valley earlier this season, when they won 1-0.

Christopher's goal came courtesy of Alyssa Montejano, who's now up to five this season.

Christopher's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 4-1-2 and their overall record down to 10-4-3. As for Evergreen Valley, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season.

Christopher will venture away from home to square off against Silver Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Evergreen Valley, they will welcome Ann Sobrato at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Ann Sobrato is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.1 goals per game this season.
