Football Recap: Ulysses Takes a Loss

Friday just wasn't the day for Ulysses's offense. They took a blow against the Holcomb Longhorns on Friday, falling 32-0. The Tigers have struggled against the Longhorns recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Holcomb found their leader in sophomore Chasyn Cosner, who rushed for 246 yards and three scores on only 13 carries. Cosner's longest rush was for an impressive 68 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Another player making a difference was Cooper Cranston, who rushed for 111 yards and one TD on only 12 carries.

Ulysses now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Holcomb, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Ulysses wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 44-7 loss against Scott on the 26th. As for Holcomb, they have also already played their next matchup, a 34-14 win against Goodland on the 26th.
