Baseball Game Preview: Burlington Demons vs. Badger Badgers

The Burlington Demons are taking a road trip to face off against the Badger Badgers at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.

Burlington is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Elkhorn just ended the team's six-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a 13-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Elks.

Trey Kerkhoff was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. He has become a key player for Burlington: the team is 4-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 7-9-1 otherwise.

Badger came out on top against Elkhorn on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run first inning. The Badgers won by a run and slipped past the Elks 6-5. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Badgers.

Badger's victory bumped their record up to 10-11. As for Burlington, their loss dropped their record down to 11-10-1.

Burlington might still be hurting after the 12-2 defeat they got from Badger in their previous matchup back in April of 2025. Can the Demons avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
