Soccer Game Preview: Benet Academy vs. Metea Valley

The Benet Academy Redwings will head out to face off against the Metea Valley Mustangs at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Benet Academy's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

On Thursday, neither Benet Academy nor Marmion could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw. Benet Academy had to tread lightly for part of the matchup as Matt Beaudoin and Jackson Mares were both handed yellow cards, which could explain the final result.

Benet Academy's goal came courtesy of Declan Crist, who's now up to seven this season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Metea Valley). They blew past DeKalb 5-0 on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for Metea Valley in their matchups with DeKalb: they've now won three in a row.

Metea Valley's win bumped their record up to 6-13-2. With that draw, Benet Academy's record moves to 10-5-2.
