Preview: Mountain View vs. Homestead
Mountain View is 8-0-2 against Homestead since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Mountain View Spartans will look to defend their home pitch against the Homestead Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.
In what's become a running theme this season, Mountain View gave their fans yet another huge win on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 4-1 margin over Palo Alto. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 3-0.
Mountain View hit Palo Alto with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from
Talya Riciputti (2),
Juno Winegar, and
Karena Shah.
Meanwhile, it was close, but on Tuesday Homestead sidestepped Palo Alto for a 2-1 victory.
Mountain View is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3-4 record this season. As for Homestead, they pushed their record up to 11-4-2 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home.
Mountain View took their win against Homestead in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 by a conclusive 4-0. Will Mountain View repeat their success, or does Homestead have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
