Soccer Recap: Woodland Takes a Loss

Woodland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the McDonough Warhawks, falling 6-2. Things were pretty much settled by the half as Woodland were already down 4-0.

Woodland's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for McDonough, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.

Woodland and McDonough could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings. The Wolfpack (ranked 305th) will meet Clarkston (ranked 42nd) at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, McDonough will challenge Eastside at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday with a big rank disadvantage (190 vs. 12).
