Football Recap: Chandler Scott Key Part of Team Effort in Falcons Win

There's no place like home for West Franklin, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They secured a 42-36 W over the Bluestem Lions on Friday. This was payback for the Falcons, who suffered a 36-8 loss the last time these two teams met.

West Franklin's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Chandler Scott, who threw for 277 yards and four TDs while picking up 10.7 yards per attempt, and also punched in one rushing score. Those 277 passing yards gave Scott a new career-high. West Franklin's leading receiver Landon Ohlde was Scott's top target yet again, picking up 141 receiving yards and one score.

West Franklin's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-7. As for Bluestem, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.

Coming up, West Franklin will take on Nemaha Central at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Thunder's defense has only allowed 12.5 points per game this season, so the Falcons' offense will have their work cut out for them. Bluestem does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
