Soccer Game Preview: Soquel vs. Aptos

Soquel is 1-9 against Aptos since April of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Knights will head out on the road to challenge the Mariners at 7:00 p.m. Soquel is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.8 goals per game this season.

Soquel is looking to tack another W on to their season record, something they couldn't quite do against Santa Cruz on Thursday. The two teams finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw.

Soquel's goal came courtesy of Leah Tuttman, which was the first she's scored this season.

Meanwhile, Aptos made easy work of San Lorenzo Valley on Thursday and carried off a 5-1 victory. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 5-1.

The win made it two in a row for Aptos and bumps their season record up to 6-4-1. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored eight goals over those two contests. Soquel's draw makes their record 5-2-1 this season.

Soquel might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Aptos when the teams last played back in February of 2025. Can the Knights avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
