Football Recap: St. Francis Falls Short of Trego in the Playoffs

St. Francis and Trego squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but St. Francis had to settle for second. They had to suffer through a 50-0 loss at the hands of the Golden Eagles. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Indians were not able to get on the board.

Leading Trego to victory were Jack Conness and Ashton Wynn. Conness gained 194 total yards and two touchdowns, while Wynn rushed for 73 yards and four scores. That's the most rushing touchdowns Wynn has posted since back in October of 2024. Vladon Crawford made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.

St. Francis' defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Trego, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-0.

St. Francis does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Trego, they will take on Kiowa County at 7:00 p.m. on the 7th. The Golden Eagles will need to watch out since the Mavericks have now posted at least 31 points in their last three contests.
