Football Game Preview: Mesabi East Giants vs. Moose Lake/Willow River Rebels

Mesabi East hasn't had much luck against Moose Lake/Willow River recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Giants will challenge the Rebels at 7:00 p.m.

On Thursday, Mesabi East didn't have quite enough to beat International Falls and fell 9-6.

Meanwhile, Moose Lake/Willow River put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Greenway/Nashwauk-Keewatin, posting a 37-0 win. Considering the Rebels have won five games by more than 19 points this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Moose Lake/Willow River's victory bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Mesabi East, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Mesabi East came up short against Moose Lake/Willow River in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, falling 24-14. Can the Giants avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
