Softball Recap: Durant's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Saturday

Durant has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.61 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Saturday. They lost 10-0 to the Albia Blue Demons. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Wildcats were not able to get on the board.

The loss snapped Durant's winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 12-6 record. As for Albia, the win keeps they at an undefeated 18-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Durant will venture away from home to challenge Mid-Prairie at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Albia, they will head out to square off against Davis County at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Mustangs will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Blue Demons surely won't give up without a fight.
