Baseball Recap: Prospect Comes Up Short

If Prospect was riding high fresh off their 13-3 takedown of Hersey on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Knights came up short against the Wauconda Bulldogs on Thursday, falling 10-3.

Prospect's defeat dropped their record down to 14-10. As for Wauconda, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season.

Prospect and Wauconda should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. The Knights will face off against Wheeling at 4:45 p.m. on Friday with a big rank advantage (87 vs. 236). Meanwhile, Wauconda (ranked 95th) will meet Round Lake (ranked 554th) at 4:45 p.m. on Friday.
