Soccer Recap: Sonora Comes Up Short

Sonora was the 3-1 winner over Fullerton when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Raiders fell just short of the Indians by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Sonora came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 92nd, while Fullerton are ranked 295th).

Sonora's loss dropped their record down to 9-4-4. As for Fullerton, their win bumped their record up to 7-8-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sonora will challenge Troy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Sonora are facing Troy at the right time seeing as Troy are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Fullerton, they will face off against Katella at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
