Soccer Recap: Gordon Central Takes a Loss

Gordon Central and Armuchee pushed the score to 8-0 the last time they played Armuchee, but on Friday defenses reigned supreme. The Warriors fell just short of the Indians by a score of 1-0. The match was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Gordon Central couldn't quite close it out.

Gordon Central now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Armuchee, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 9-3.

Gordon Central will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Temple at 7:30 p.m. on the 18th. Gordon Central are facing Temple at the right time seeing as Temple are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Armuchee, they have already played their next game, a 2-1 defeat against Fannin County on the 15th.
