Soccer Recap: Willowbrook Takes a Loss

Willowbrook managed to keep up with Lake Park until halftime on Saturday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Warriors lost 8-4 to the Lancers. While losing is never fun, Willowbrook can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 241st, while Lake Park are ranked 22nd).

Willowbrook dropped their record down to 5-12 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Lake Park, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-3-3 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Willowbrook will host Berwyn/Cicero Morton at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Berwyn/Cicero Morton's defense has only allowed 0.5 goals per game this season, so Willowbrook's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Lake Park, they will be playing in front of their home fans against St. Charles North at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
