Basketball Recap: Hanover Area Hawkeyes vs. Lake-Lehman Knights
Hanover Area extended their losing streak to three on Monday, dropping them down to 3-12. They were dealt a 67-34 loss at the hands of the Lake-Lehman Knights. While losing is never fun, the Hawkeyes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 582nd, while the Knights are ranked 207th).
As for Lake-Lehman, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season. They have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 21 points or more this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lake-Lehman to victory, but perhaps none more so than Delcia Biscotto, who shot 50% from the field on her way to 17 points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals. Those eight boards gave Biscotto a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kinley Purdy, who posted 14 points and six assists.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hanover Area will square off against Wyoming Seminary College Prep at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lake-Lehman, they will challenge Holy Redeemer at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
