Softball Recap: Poudre Impalas vs. Fort Collins Lambkins

Poudre extended their losing streak to 14 on Tuesday, dropping them down to 3-19. They lost 15-0 to the Fort Collins Lambkins. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lambkins this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-0 back in September.

As for Fort Collins, their record is now 16-6-1. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 matchups by six runs or more this season.

For Fort Collins' part, Addison Yurt made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). That's the most strikeouts Yurt has posted since back in September. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one triple.

In other batting news, Fort Collins got a big performance out of Cori Davis, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Another player making a difference was Audrey Bollich, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI.

Coming up, Poudre will face off against Fossil Ridge at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Fort Collins does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
