Basketball Recap: Iwalani Lealao's Big Game Can't Quite Lead James Logan over Branson

James Logan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 53-48 heartbreaker at the hands of the Branson Bulls. The contest was a 22-22 toss-up at halftime, but the Colts couldn't quite close it out.

Several Colts players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Iwalani Lealao, who went 5 for 10 on her way to 17 points in addition to five assists and five boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Mauriah Mchenry, who went 7 of 17 on her way to 21 points.

James Logan's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Branson, they moved to 7-5 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

James Logan will square off against American at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Branson, they will challenge Dougherty Valley at 11:00 a.m. on Friday.
