Softball Recap: Chatfield Takes a Loss

Chatfield made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Grandview, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Chargers fell just short of the Wolves by a score of 5-3 on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Chargers have suffered since September 13th.

Chatfield saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Avry Aukland, who went 2-for-4 with one RBI.

The loss snapped Chatfield's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 11-13 record. As for Grandview, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-9 record this season.

Chatfield has already played their next contest, a 7-5 win against Grand Junction Central on the 18th. As for Grandview, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 15-3 defeat against Broomfield on the 18th.
