Baseball Recap: University Takes a Loss

If University was riding high fresh off their 12-2 takedown of Indianapolis Arsenal Technical on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Trailblazers took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Center Grove Trojans on Thursday. Considering the last time the Trailblazers couldn't score was back in March, the team can't take the result too hard.

University's loss dropped their record down to 17-9. As for Center Grove, their win was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-1.

Coming up, University will take on Eastbrook at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Trailblazers will need to watch out since the Panthers have now posted at least ten runs in their last three games. As for Center Grove, they will face off against Guerin Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Trojans 2.4, the Golden Eagles 2.9) so any runs scored will be well earned.
