Volleyball Recap: Rocky Mountain Lobos vs. Windsor Wizards

Rocky Mountain was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Windsor Wizards. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wizards this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

The final score came out to 25-17, 25-15, 23-25, 25-21.

Anya Rainbolt paced Rocky Mountain's offense, picking up 17 kills. Rainbolt got some help from Abby Duran and her 29 assists. Duran was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Windsor's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Avery Smiley led the charge by getting 19 digs and four aces. Those four aces gave Smiley a new career-high. Hallie Burroughs was another key player, getting ten digs and three aces.

Rocky Mountain's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Windsor, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-3.
