Soccer Game Preview: Hoover vs. Medina

Hoover hasn't had much luck against Medina recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Vikings will square off against the Battling Bees at 7:00 p.m. Hoover is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.

Hoover's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They came out on top against Perry by a score of 2-0. Give Hoover's defense some credit: that's the team's fourth straight shutout.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last match, Medina made sure to put some goals up on the board against Euclid on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 9-0 victory. Considering Medina have won five matchups by more than two goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Hoover's record now sits at 7-3-4. As for Medina, their record is now 8-2-2.

Hoover beat Medina 2-0 in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Vikings since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
