Basketball Recap: Morse Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Morse entered their game against Scripps Ranch on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The matchup between the Morse Tigers and the Scripps Ranch Falcons didn't end well, with the Morse Tigers falling 62-46. The contest was a 26-26 toss-up at halftime, but the Tigers couldn't quite close it out.

Clare Valentine was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 30 points and ten boards for Scripps Ranch. The game was Valentine's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Ree Ree Davis was another key player, putting up 13 points and five steals.

Morse's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 12-9. As for Scripps Ranch, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 12-5.

Morse has already played their next match (against Santa Fe Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Scripps Ranch will take on El Capitan at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Scripps Ranch's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four contests.
