Baseball Recap: Hamilton Takes a Loss

Hamilton extended their losing streak to three on Thursday, dropping them down to 10-10. They lost 6-0 to the Germantown Warhawks. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warhawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-3 on Tuesday.

As for Germantown, their victory was their 18th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 22-0. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.1 runs on average over those games.

For Germantown's part, not much got past Landon Hagland, who gave up just three hits and racked up 14 Ks to keep Hamilton off the board. Hagland has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Jon Murkowski, who went 2-for-5 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Connor Meyer, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hamilton will challenge Mukwonago at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Germantown, they will take on Shorewood at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
