Bentley Schiller made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, firing off two home runs and five RBI while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Isabelle Mott and Jaytli Cannizzo did most of the damage at the plate: Mott went 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double, while Cannizzo went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Arianna Mora was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Montrose always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .586. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bennett only posted an OBP of .143.

Lexi Hulet was incredible, firing off two home runs, five RBI, and three runs while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Addison Hopper, who went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Fruita Monument's win bumped their record up to 13-3. As for Montrose, their victory bumped their record up to 12-5.
Fruita Monument's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Tuesday. Montrose has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.4 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Fruita Monument, though, as they've been averaging an even more impressive 2.8 strikeouts. Will Montrose keep running through batters, or will the Wildcats buck the trend?
