Baseball Recap: Serena Comes Up Short

Serena was the 4-0 winner over Seneca when they last played one another back in April of 2025, but their luck changed this time around. The Huskers fell 7-2 to the Fighting Irish on Saturday. The Huskers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Serena's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Seneca, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-7.

Coming up, Serena will square off against Earlville at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Huskers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Red Raiders have averaged an impressive 7.8 runs per game this season. As for Seneca, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Somonauk at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
