Basketball Recap: Villanova Prep Comes Up Short

Villanova Prep lost against Bishop Diego back in February of 2020 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Villanova Prep Wildcats lost to the Bishop Diego Cardinals at home by a 50-34 margin. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bishop Diego to victory, but perhaps none more so than Alyssa Chrestenson, who posted 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Karina Urzua, who put up 14 points.

Villanova Prep's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Bishop Diego, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 7-9.

Villanova Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bishop Diego, they will welcome Foothill Tech at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
