Soccer Recap: Jonesboro Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Morrow, Jonesboro was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They beat the Mt. Zion Bulldogs by a goal, winning 2-1. The score was all tied up 1-1 at the break, but the Cardinals were the better team in the second half.

The victory got Jonesboro back to even at 1-1. As for Mt. Zion, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jonesboro will welcome Hapeville Charter at 7:00 p.m. on February 27th. Mt. Zion will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Riverdale at 7:30 p.m. on March 4th.
